Al Martin has been practicing law for over 25 years. He has tried hundreds of job injury cases throughout South Carolina. He has handled claims involving traumatic brain injury, incomplete paraplegia, amputations, spinal cord injury, asbestos inhalation, repetitive trauma, chemical exposure, defective products, post-traumatic stress disorder, Medicare and Medicaid interaction, electrocution, and death. He is often contacted by other lawyers to provide advice on difficult work accident cases. In 2005, Al helped establish the firm of Martin & Martin Attorneys, P.A. Since that time, he has devoted his practice to representing injured persons. The majority of Al’s new clients come by referral from previous clients. He is grateful and appreciates the trust his past and current clients place in him. Since 1998, he has been selected for the Martindale-Hubbell “AV-rating” by his peers in the legal community every year. Personal:

Al grew up in Fort Mill, South Carolina, the youngest of four and the only boy. His father was an FBI agent and his mother was a high school teacher. He is a 1987 graduate of The Citadel and received his law degree from Mercer University in 1991. He served on active duty in the US Army from 1991-1994 with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is married to the lovely and talented Laura and they have three children, a girl and two boys. They have lived in Greenville since 1995.

Al is admitted to practice in South Carolina, Georgia, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar (Workers' Compensation Section), the State Bar of Georgia, the Greenville County Bar, and the Injured Workers Advocates.
